CFI Agrotech, the event that brought together the main players in the Chilean agri-food industry, was a great success and brought together both national and international players. The event aimed to promote, market, establish solid relationships and strengthen the agri-food industry in Chile, covering its entire value chain.
Smartcherry.cl suppliers actively participated in CFI Agrotech, and shared their impressions on the importance of this initiative for innovation and technology in the agricultural sector.
Claudia Jorquera, coordinator of the South Fruit Growing Center, expressed his satisfaction with the participation in the event: "The truth is that it has been super positive, because we have been generating networks with companies, students and all kinds of collaborators, which can be a possibility to continue doing research."
Jorquera also highlighted her experience as moderator of a panel focused on innovation and experience in the food value chain, highlighting how technology can make this chain more efficient and practical.
Juan Ignacio Arrieta, Summit Agro South Zone, pointed out the relevance of his company's presence at CFI Agrotech: "We have always been looking for this type of activities, it is the first time that this activity is carried out and we could not not be present, because with the agreement we have with DJI Culture, we are always looking to bring innovation to the field and that is why initiatives such as CFI Agrotech help us strengthen our essence as a company, to contribute with innovation and technology to the Chilean countryside."
Ricardo Rodriguez, general manager of Agroprecision, shared his perspective on the evolution of technology in agriculture: «We have been in the market for 24 years, and the truth is that at first, selling technology was very difficult and today we see more and more companies that are dedicated to the topic of technology, because definitely, this concept is here to stay in agriculture. Today, the person who thinks that they can manage their orchards without technology is lost. That is why this type of initiative benefits all of us companies that provide this type of input to producers and farmers.»
Antonio Cabreira, CEO of Neltume, highlighted the importance of events such as CFI Agrotech to promote collaboration between entrepreneurs and technology companies in agriculture: «These types of events are super important. There are many of us who are pushing technology, but we do not always have the spaces to show it in time and also to generate a network with other entrepreneurs, where I believe there is a lot to do, complement services, make life easier for producers, so I think these types of events are very beneficial to bring that together, such as what is happening with the AgTech industry.»
The participation of Smartcherry.cl and its suppliers in CFI Agrotech reflects the commitment of the Chilean agri-food industry to innovation and technology, and its determination to strengthen and improve agricultural production in the country.
