Chileans in the fruit industry would have intentions to travel to China after the elimination of restrictions due to Covid-19

China

Tens of thousands of travellers were seen at border controls between Hong Kong and mainland China to reunite with their families or for work reasons.

Many pandemic restrictions have been lifted in China, and international flights have been reopened as of January 8. The government has issued a notice to optimize people exchanges between mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau from January 8, eliminating mass PCR testing and reactivating travel permits for tourism and business for mainland Chinese to Hong Kong.

According to information gathered by our correspondents in the Asian country, the Hong Kong government reportedly indicated that on January 7, more than 410,000 visitors had made appointments with customs services in mainland China.

Also, China Southern Airlines flight CZ312 from Toronto to Guangzhou landed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 00:16 on January 8. Passengers on this flight were the first batch of inbound travelers who did not need to undergo PCR testing or quarantine measures, which had not happened for more than 3 years.

It is because of the above that it has been learned that many Chileans in the fruit industry intend to travel to China, now that restrictions have been removed, so a large flow of people is expected next week.
