Spring rains are causing havoc on Chilean cherries, with the consequences being reflected in an alarming increase in the incidence of cherry breakage in many orchards in the country.
The solution is to strengthen the walls of the cherry and make the skin firmer. This is one of the most proven effects of silicon on the queen fruit of Chile.
For this reason, it is vitally important to apply a high concentration silicon solution during this rainy period (and before, if it is possible to predict this circumstance), such as manvert silikon, a biostimulant with one of the highest assimilable silicon formulations on the market: 36 % w/v.
In addition, Manvert Silikon is manufactured using Neovert Tech's proprietary technology, which enables the product to be formulated with very small particles, achieving this higher concentration of silicon, as well as better coverage and penetration of the product into the plant.
This technology significantly improves the effectiveness of the silicon treatment compared to other products that lack it, making it a unique product. The effectiveness of manvert silikon in reducing cherry cracking is not exclusive to the rainy season. This solution is widely supported by many producers in both Chile and Spain and by numerous tests carried out by the company itself and by external consultants. An example of this are these graphs that correspond to a test on two varieties of cherry (Lapins Yo Royal Dawn) with 3 applications of manvert silicone with respect to a witness, carried out in Chile:

The treatment with manvert silikon obtained 50% more commercial fruits (without symptoms of legitude) with the variety Royal dawn and a 90% with the variety Lapins regarding the witness.

Manvert Silikon is an ideal biostimulant solution for preserving fruit, especially in post-harvest, since it reduces damage to the skin and dehydration of the cherry and its stem, also providing firmness that makes it less vulnerable to the passage of time.
