Vitazyme, Proven Quality

The Chilean fresh fruit industry has experienced a revolution in recent seasons, and it is called cherry. The fruit species with the greatest growth in planted surface, exported kilos and foreign currency income is today the one that concentrates the interest; however, given the growing production that this season is estimated at more than 40 million boxes, and that the destination par excellence is the distant and competitive Chinese market, the challenge is more than ever in the quality. Under this context, Syngenta has been working for more than 7 seasons to deliver solutions that directly impact the quality of fruit, productivity and profitability of the crop. This is how VITAZYME, a unique product that combines hormonal components such as a specific range of Brassinosteroids, biostimulants such as Triacontanol and a series of Vitamins and nutrients that generate a powerful effect on various metabolic processes of the plant.

One of the main characteristics of VITAZYME is that, when used within a management program, it improves the condition of the plant by activating, accelerating and improving metabolic processes, improving the biological activity of the rhizosphere (interaction zone between plant roots and soil microorganisms), increasing the supply of photo-assimilates to the fruit, directly impacting the gain in fruit size and color, skin and pedicel quality, which results in a healthy, quality fruit at harvest time.

Proven quality

From the CER, Research and Development Center for the agricultural sector, they have validated the use of VITAZYME to improve the condition of the pedicel after 45 days of cold storage, achieving a greater proportion of green pedicels and a lower proportion of green-brown and brown pedicels (PHOTO 1 and GRAPHIC 1).

VITAZYME is today a powerful tool validated and used by the main exporters and technical advisors of fruit, backed by the excellent response in improving the quality of export fruit and being a contribution for farmers dedicated to cherry cultivation.
