Cherry Tech launches call for scientific poster applications

Applications will be open until May 15, 2023; those selected will be able to present their work in digital format on June 29 at Cherry Tech.

Cherry Tech, the first technical event The event specializing in cherries organized by Yentzen Group and Smartcherry is now open for applications for those who wish to present their research and work in scientific poster format.

The call is addressed to professionals and institutions academics, national and international, who have conducted research in the areas of technical orchard management, varieties and rootstocks, irrigation, nutrition and use of biostimulants, pest control, disease control, technologies and post-harvest management of cherries.

“We decided to incorporate this scientific poster format because it allows professionals and academic institutions to expand their work, so that Cherry Tech attendees have the possibility of having a greater amount of information that is technically useful, in a digital format, friendly and easy to understand,” said Carlos Tapia, Co-founder of Smartcherry and Technical Director of Avium.

This format is exclusively for academia, laboratories and researchers whose work is not linked to a particular company. Applications will be received from March 31 to May 15, 2023, inclusive.

“We are proud to be able to provide this opportunity to the scientific and academic community to participate in this call with their research; the privileged exposure they will have to the cherry industry will allow them to further enhance their work. Additionally, this activity allows us to support the positioning we have set ourselves: to make Chile a meeting point for science and the cherry industry, a “Silicon Valley” for cherry exports worldwide,” commented Marie Bach, General Manager of Yentzen Group.

The works submitted by the applicants will be analyzed by a technical committee that will define the participation and suggest editing if necessary. All the requirements to apply are available at www.cherrytechconvention.com
