Cherries: Sharing the technical and commercial pulse of the moment with MIP-Agro and Martínez y Valdivieso

On October 18 and 19, the cherry industry met at two high-level conservatories organized by the companies MIP-Agro and Martínez y Valdivieso. Under the title “Cherries: Sharing the technical and commercial pulse of the moment,” these events took place in Requínoa, at the Los Lirios Golf Club, and in Curicó, at the Club de la Unión.

The exhibitions brought together experts and professionals from the cherry industry to share experiences from production to destination markets. During the sessions, essential topics for the industry were addressed, including recommendations for cherry color and size, sunscreen solutions, cracking prevention, and root systems. To this end, outstanding products from the MIP-Agro and Martínez y Valdivieso portfolios were presented, such as Brasstec, Suntec, Lecimip and Fort-Soil.

The event featured the outstanding participation of Martínez and Valdivieso, who contributed their experience and knowledge to the debate. In addition, there was the collaboration of renowned professionals in the sector, including Cristián Benavente, Commercial Manager of Ranco; Mario Soza, Production Manager of Geoagro; Juan Puntí, Product Manager of Exportadora Prize Ltda; and Oscar Herrera, Agricultural Manager of Grupo Agua Santa.

The moderator of the discussions was Pablo Sazo, Zonal Technician of Martínez and Valdivieso, who guided the discussions and fostered an environment of learning and exchange of ideas.

Sebastián Jiménez Kaufman, General Manager of MIP-Agro, and Andrés Leiva, Head of R&D, also actively participated in the sessions, sharing their knowledge and experiences to strengthen the cherry industry in Chile.

The event “Cherries: Sharing the technical and commercial pulse of the moment” was a valuable opportunity for the cherry industry community in Chile, where collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement were promoted in all aspects of the production and marketing of this fruit.
