CherryTech 2024: Everything is ready for the second edition of the largest technical event in the cherry industry

The countdown has begun!

The event will take place on June 18 at the Sun Monticello Events Center.

There are less than 24 hours left until the second version of CherryTech 2024 takes place and tickets are already sold out; tickets sold out more than three weeks ago, demonstrating the great interest in attending the most important technical event in cherry production.

“The year 2023 was a total success, there was a lot of interest from the industry to participate in our first CherryTech, however this year the enthusiasm has been even greater. We are very happy and grateful for the great turnout that CherryTech 2024 has had and we hope to see you all tomorrow, June 18, to talk, analyze, learn and debate about the cherry,” said Marie Bach, CEO of Yentzen Group and co-founder of CherryTech.

The event, which will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18, at the Sun Monticello Events Center, will bring together relevant specialists from the cherry industry, who will analyze topics such as: productive potential of the cherry tree, post-harvest, nutritional strategies, quality and condition of the fruit, water and its efficient use in cherry cultivation, productive stability, among others.

“We are very excited to have great specialists, advisors, researchers, and teachers who will be part of the master classes and forums at our event. In addition, for the second consecutive year we will bring together more than a thousand people to address essential technical topics. Without a doubt, CherryTech has established itself as the largest technical event in the cherry industry and that fills us with pride and encourages us to continue growing,” said advisor Carlos Tapia, technical director of Avium and co-founder of the event.

Technology, networking and much more

CherryTech, in addition to being the largest technical event in the cherry industry, is a meeting point for the different players in the sector, including 70 companies that will present their services and products to the 1,200 attendees.

“Being present at CherryTech allows us to connect with other industry professionals, share knowledge and learn from the experiences of others. CherryTech provides us with a platform to demonstrate our commitment to innovation and excellence in crop protection, as well as giving us the opportunity to collaborate and learn in an environment of industry experts,” explained Miguel Szpiniak, president of the Agralia Group.

Companies will have a large area, specially equipped, so that the more than a thousand CherryTech 2024 attendees can visit each of the stands.

“We will be present at booth No. 60. You will be able to share with BASF’s technical field team with extensive experience in cherry cultivation. We will have the opportunity to talk about the new innovations that BASF is developing for the crop. In addition, our stewardship program will present new personal protection equipment for applicators, a very important point in their care,” said Angela Aedo, Trade Marketing Consultant at BASF Chile.

Post-harvest will not only be the central theme of one of the forums of this second edition of CherryTech, but will also be represented by specialists in the field.

“For Elifab it is important to participate in CherryTech 2024 because it is a platform where we can present our latest technological advances available for the cherry process. At our stand we will be presenting our Elifab Cherry Class processing line, the most precise since it has the defect selector with artificial intelligence that allows absolute control of the quality it selects, the most compact given its avant-garde design, and it is also the most efficient processing line due to its high processing speed. On the other hand, we will also be presenting automatic packaging solutions and multiple advances in packaging logistics. This set allows us to deliver turnkey solutions to our clients,” mentioned Matías Heitzer, category manager for Elifab Chile cherries.

Another company that will be present at CherryTech 2024 is AgroFresh, with its services covering everything from the orchard to post-harvest.

“At our stand we will have some equipment that is used in the post-harvest of cherries, such as the Cherry Pack, a combination of the Control-Tec Dosificator and Eco, which help to improve the sustainability of the processes. And Harvista 1.3 SC, which, applied during flowering, enhances the setting of the cherry, improving the yields of the orchards. And now that we have acquired Pace International, you will also be able to see the complete portfolio,” announced Juliana Manco, Marketing Manager Latam of AgroFresh.

For the second consecutive year, Unitec, a company that is a leader in innovative and patented solutions for sorting and processing fruits and vegetables, will also be part of CherryTech.

“CherryTech is an important opportunity to strengthen our connection with the industry. The 2024 edition will feature renowned and experienced presenters, offering an ideal platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences. As UNITEC, our participation will allow us to interact with the main players in the sector and stay abreast of the latest trends in the cherry industry in Chile. At our stand, you will be able to see the results of our word technologies from our clients and take a look into the future with UNITEC solutions that aim at automation, reducing labor and increasing efficiency in cherry processes. In addition, you will be able to talk to our team to resolve all your questions and learn more about our organization.” concluded from Unitec.

Unitec, Basf, AgroFresh, Agralia and Elifab will be among the 70 companies present at CherryTech 2024, an event that will feature 3 master classes, 3 forums, 15 specialists, 10 scientific posters and 1,200 attendees who will meet on Tuesday, June 18.
