Amagro refers to training in the SAG Early Warning System

November 7 and 8 in Coquimbo; November 21 and 22 in Atacama.

The Agricultural and Livestock Service, SAG, has just launched an interesting training cycle for the Early Warning System, SAT, in order to support farmers in making decisions to safeguard the health of their fields. Who can participate? Producers, researchers, agricultural companies, advisors, consulting companies, Indap, Prodesal, fruit growers, wine growers, among others.

These training sessions aim to teach the use of the Agrometeorological Information System (SIA), Early Warning System (SAT) and Expert Diagnostic System (SED), which are available on the RPF Producer Portal https://vigilanciarpf.sag.gob.cl/rpf/. In addition, the new website that will replace the aforementioned portal in the near future will be announced, and which will be called the Platform for Intra-farm Phytosanitary Monitoring and Alert Systems.

«We would like to highlight the efforts of the SAG to develop a phytosanitary intelligence strategy, which, thanks to the collaboration of different institutions and organizations, both nationally and internationally, allows us to have advanced systems today to support producers in making better and more optimal decisions, including technological and artificial intelligence tools that are increasingly necessary to face the major challenges that the climate crisis imposes on our agriculture. We congratulate the SAG and its excellent team of professionals for this important work in support of agriculture,» said the Vice President of Amagro, Maritrini Lapuente, who was invited to the launch of the training.

The training sessions, which will be held in person at different points in the country, began on October 3 in the O'Higgins region, where the second talk was given on the 4th of the same month. In Ñuble, meanwhile, the event will be on October 11 and 12; Coquimbo on November 7 and 8; Atacama on November 21 and 22.

The courses will last 2 hours and will be taught at three times each day:

  • Section 1: 8:15 – 10:15 hours
  • Section 2: 10:30 – 12:30 hours
  • Section 3: from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
