CAPCI moved Cherry Day to Chile

Under the name "Cherry Trip".

41 people, including cherry producers, technicians, businessmen, among others, make up the Argentine delegation that is currently on a technical tour of the central region of Chile. This initiative, led by the Argentine Chamber of Cherry Producers, CAPCI, will visit different orchards and packing plants.

The tour, which they called “Cherry Trip”, began on June 26 and will end on the 30th of the same month, also stopping to attend the highly anticipated Cherry Tech event on June 29.

Aníbal Caminiti, Manager of the Argentine Chamber of Integrated Cherry Producers, CAPCI, referred to this initiative to tour the central part of the country, arguing in principle that: "In principle, the chamber annually organizes an event at a national - international level, called "Cherry Day", and on this occasion Cherry Day moves to Chile with this "Cherry Trip", which is a technical tour that will be carried out through different orchards in Chile."

Likewise, Caminiti added about the visit to the country that, "basically Chile is a country that is a reference in what is the production and commercialization of cherries, and annually, Argentine technicians and producers participate in events and different training sessions that are organized and on this occasion this tour is a little broader, under a federal action plan that CAPCI created together with the Federal Investment Council, in which they gave their approval for the 5 most important cherry producing provinces in Argentina to participate in the tour, including Mendoza, Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut and Santa Cruz with the southernmost area and the latest production."

On the other hand, the representative of the Argentine Chamber of Cherry Producers also had words to refer to what this instance of rapprochement with speakers and advisors from Chile means.

«We will conclude this tour by attending Cherry Tech. A very interesting way to close the tour, since at this event, the members of the delegation will not only be able to participate in the interesting interventions of their Chilean colleagues at the event. They will also be able to articulate and generate relationships with technology suppliers and specific inputs for cherry production, and this is extremely important, since as I mentioned, Chile is a benchmark for the cherry industry.»

With this visit, the 41 Argentine producers aim to increase synergy with Chilean producers, in the search to improve their productions. To this end, AVIUM and its technical team will also participate in the tour, accompanying and guiding their trans-Andean colleagues.
