The recent event held by Bioamerica, a company that supplies nutritional and protection products and vegetable seeds, in the city of Curicó was a great success. It was an interesting discussion about Erger, a biostimulant based on plant extracts, which promotes sprouting in cherry trees, walnut trees and table grapes, which took place at the Club de la Unión and was attended by a large number of important personalities from the industry.

«We are super happy because we realize that Erger continues to bring together important players in the industry in the central area, in Curicó, in the Seventh Region, on this occasion, and that has to do with the interest that this productive tool that is Erger arouses when it comes to, effectively, defining the productive result of the orchard; today we talk about this productive tool that is Erger, we highlight its benefits in crops, its application in terms of setting, promoting caliber, the synchrony of the phenological states, which is what ultimately gives rise to these parameters that are today tremendously quantified for Erger; When we have to talk about Erger as a productive tool, we have the advantage of having a tremendous information base for more than 15 years here in Chile, more than 15 years abroad, where what we generally present is objective information that faithfully represents what has to do with results from universities, research centers, there is a super rigorous work behind to finally give an accurate recommendation to our producers, when choosing between one or another alternative.", explained Alejandra Espinoza, Head of R&D at Bioamerica.
Víctor Aguilera, Commercial Manager of Bioamerica, was in charge of moderating the discussion that had as guests two important actors in the industry: the specialist advisor in cherry production, Carlos Tapia, and Karen Sagredo, Academic of the University of Chile, specialist in fruit growing, integrated fruit production, winter break and biology.
«The objective of my participation was to deepen or explain some topics of winter recess physiology, the entry and exit of dormancy and how dormancy breakers can interfere", explained Karen Sagrado, who also thanked the invitation to the discussion.

The Founder and Technical Director of Avium, for his part, referred to the instance: «It was an entertaining conversation with Karen, who is a specialist in the physiology of dormancy, which is a very particular area, and who has each person's vision from a physiological and productive point of view in this cold season. We know that we are also facing a year of high productivity as a country and we must be prepared for that and we have to have strategies in mind, also from the point of view of how to divide, how to make our orchards produce better, how to deliver the best product. It was an entertaining conversation, I think we shared many ideas together, it was very interesting that the public participated and that enriches this type of event.«.
Assistants
The discussion took place in a relaxed atmosphere and was attended by more than a hundred people linked to agriculture; producers, exporters, orchard managers, companies, were part of this event. The attendees were grateful to be able to participate in an event of this type.
«Super good, I think we have to understand that we always learn something new; we are in a very challenging process, so it is always good to be aware of everything that is happening or news and to improve every day and this helps us for that, to be more efficient and to combine all aspects, whether from nature or everything within our reach to improve,» said Ronald Farías, agricultural administrator of Agrícola Santa Graciela.
Carlos Contreras, a cherry producer from Comalle, also joined in the thanks and highlighted the presence of Carlos Tapia and Karen Sagredo: "They are two people who handle the subject very well, both the physiological aspect, Mrs. Karen, and Mr. Carlos, who handles it with a lot of experience as well, so there is always their experience complemented by one," he concluded.
