On February 15, the First Seminar on Early Fresh Cherries was held in the Argentine city of Mendoza, in which Viveros Copequén participated, represented by Franco Sannazzaro, General Manager of Viveros Copequén, and Maritza Espinosa, Agronomist Responsible for Sales and After Sales of the same company.

The main objective of the event, which included a field experience in Luján de Cuyo, was to provide small and medium-sized producers in Mendoza with clear tools regarding new varieties, cultivation methods, financing, the position of the regional government, and information regarding markets.

Viveros Copequén, a company invited to participate in the seminar organized by the Chamber of Cherries in Mendoza, presented its nursery and products for the first time in Argentina, mainly explaining the experience of the unprecedented export of finished cherry plants to the trans-Andean country, developed during the 2021 season. This export was carried out under the protocols established by the SAG, SENASA and in collaboration with the Asociación Gremial de Viveros de Chile, who together signed a bilateral agreement for the entry of Chilean plants to Argentina with the reduced quarantine modality, direct to the field.

In addition to the participation and presentation at the Seminar, Viveros Copequén participated in three visits to fields in the Mendoza area, belonging to prominent cherry producers:
- Nicolas Güizzo from Güizzo, Fresh Fruits SA
- Federico Von Kesselstat, Río Alara SA
- Ramón Hinojosa, Hinojosa Winery.

Through the visits it was possible to appreciate how they work and what the requirements of each producer in the area are; in addition, initiatives were generated to continue working with the entities in the area, in order to satisfy those producers in the future with the quality of finished plants and variety/rootstock combinations, which they often do not have access to in their areas.
