North American origin. Obtained from a cross between Prunus Mahaleb x Prunus Avium (Oregon, USA). Vigour similar to SL64 and Colt (80% of Prunus Avium), used in difficult and low fertility soils. Faster entry into production than other rootstocks of the same vigour. No multiplication by suckers. Good compatibility. Resistance to neck rot. Does not tolerate oxygen deficiencies in the soil.

Interspecific hybrid Mahaleb x Merisier, obtained in the 1980s in Oregon (USA). Of medium vigor, approximately 65% in relation to F 12, it confers good productive efficiency, good size and early entry into production. It adapts to a wide range of soils, except those that are very heavy and have drainage problems. This material has been propagated in vitro and is free of viruses, viroids and phytoplasmas.

Hybrid between Prunus avium and Prunus pseudocerasus, obtained in England, of medium-high vigor, approximately 80% in relation to F 12, of very good productivity, induces very good caliber to the fruit, tolerates heavy and humid soils better than other rootstocks, however, it does not adapt to thin soils or with poor irrigation, it is suitable for very productive varieties, forming a fairly balanced tree. Its main disadvantage is its sensitivity to galls, a situation that has been overcome by propagating it in vitro and under controlled conditions.

Originating in Germany, this rootstock has recently been introduced to the country. It is somewhat more vigorous than Gisela 6, however, it maintains the characteristics of precocity, adapts to a wide range of soils, and, according to foreign information, gives very good fruit size.

Interspecific hybrid, originating in Germany, with greater vigour than Gisela 5, it confers a rapid entry into production, adapts to a wide range of soils, prefers colder and more humid climates in which it can form a tree of medium or even high vigour, and is suitable for self-infertile varieties or those with moderate fruit set.
