The first day of the Ovalle cherry field was a great success, a satellite activity of the Seminar of the same name that will have its second version in August of this year.
The event, attended by more than 80 people, including producers and people linked to the agroindustry, consisted of two parts: talks and a field trip. The event began with the words of Aldo Morales, General Manager of Susttex, who gave way to a series of presentations where various topics were analyzed: sprouting homogenizers, nutrition, phytostimulation, pest control, quality, caliber, setting, among others.

Finally, a tour was made in the Agrícola Santo Tomás orchard, where the host, Agricultural Engineer Tomás Araya, presented his experience in the production of cherries in Ovalle, in a 4-year-old orchard, of the Lapins variety.
The first Day of Field of Precious Cherries of Ovalle was led by Jorge Astudillo Gálvez, agricultural engineer and producer, responsible for one of the most exquisite cherry orchards in the area and the country: "The opportunity was taken to generate an exchange of experiences between local producers and invited producers from the southern area, where productive and commercial aspects were discussed," Astudillo concluded.
