The Agricultural Studies and Policies Office of the Ministry of Agriculture has published an interesting interactive bulletin, in which it is possible to learn various data on a wide variety of fruit species, including cherries.
The application provides access to information on the annual evolution of cherry plantations, the total by region, varieties planted, exports, etc.
"Fresh fruit sales amount to 2 million 615 thousand tons, equivalent to USD 5,085 million FOB for the year 2022. These exports register a decrease in volume of -0.1%, and in value of -4.7% compared to the previous year," reports the bulletin for the month of January 2023.

«The main species exported in the period of analysis in this group were cherries, registering a volume of 397 thousand tons, equivalent to USD 2.130 million FOB, showing an increase of 18.1% in volume and 17.3% in value, compared to the previous year, mostly destined for China (90.1% of Chilean cherry exports were sent to that country)», conclude from Odepa regarding the cherry.
