Jorge Tello

«First of all, we are very happy with the launch of Smartcherry TV. We have been working with the team for many months, first transforming this idea of making a television channel, transforming the audiovisual content that we had into a more modern and audiovisual format, and, well, after a long time, today we see the completion of the execution at this event. We are happy, many people participated and we are convinced that this will be a new contribution to the industry, just like the other formats that we have been making at Smartcherry for 4 years, when we started.», commented Jorge Tello, Co-founder of the platform.

Backstage: Getting to know Smartcherry TV

The launch began with an entertaining backstage hosted by journalist Andrea Garrido, who through different audiovisual pieces showed the YouTube channel, its contents and how to subscribe to the new platform. In addition, she interviewed Smartcherry co-founders Carlos Tapia and Jorge Tello; both provided details of the work involved in this new way of disseminating technical content about the cherry industry and the origins of Smartcherry.

«We wanted to present our new YouTube channel in an entertaining way so that our followers could subscribe, find out about our playlists, the premiere days and, of course, learn more about Smartcherry TV and the platform itself. In October we will be celebrating our 4th anniversary and this launch is the culmination of the hard work we have done as a team and we are very happy to finally launch our channel, which will undoubtedly revolutionize the way we see the world of cherries.» said Javiera López, Director of Smartcherry.

The entire Smartcherry team participated in the event, as well as professionals from Avium, the platform's technical support and those who will have great relevance in the Smartcherry TV content.

Technical discussion

The highlight of the launch of Smartcherry TV was the discussion led by our co-founder and specialist advisor on cherry production, Carlos Tapia. The technical director of Avium analyzed the complex season, together with two renowned advisors: Ricardo Miño and Lucas Ferrada.

«This is the last of the challenges that Smartcherry brings forward, this new diffusion model was very challenging; we had a very interesting conversation, more than 200 people connected simultaneously, the conversation with Ricardo and Lucas was super entertaining, we analyzed topics together within the expertise of each one and in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the season, a complex, different, challenging, entertaining season as well. Obviously, all this brings challenges as well and makes us think a little more about the things we are doing and I think that this diffusion model also helps with all this analysis and we want to establish and reaffirm the meaning that Smartcherry has with the different platforms, with the different diffusion media and I think that this is one more that contributes to this», said Carlos Tapia.

The enriching conversation, in which topics relevant to the audience were discussed, providing a complete overview of the challenges and opportunities of the current cherry season, marked the peak of tuning with more than 200 connected.

«I thought the invitation was very good, I really appreciate the invitation that Smartcherry TV made me; I always think that all the tools that we have to be able to reach more and more people with the messages will be something important for us, for the people who are in the technical area and who have to carry our flags everywhere; these structures, Smartcherry or Smartcherry TV, help us to reach more and more places», said Lucas Ferrada, a specialist advisor on plant nutrition and soil.

YouTube presents itself as a space where learning and entertainment merge to provide an enriching experience for viewers. With a firm commitment to providing quality and relevant content, SmartCherry TV becomes a valuable addition to the digital landscape.

«The truth is that for me it was a huge honour to be able to participate alongside two great exponents of national fruit growing, such as Carlos and Lucas, and also with the Smartcherry team, which is a platform that is highly viewed month after month in our industry,» said Ricardo Miño, a specialist advisor on cherry production.

The new channel was very well received by fans; throughout the broadcast they sent their congratulations for the initiative and, in turn, for the interesting conversation held during the launch.

Smartcherry TV is now online and viewers can subscribe to the channel to stay abreast of the latest updates and take part in this exciting adventure in the world of cherry.
