As part of our new report chapter on Smartcherry, which premieres tonight at 9:30 p.m., we spoke with Alfonso Frías, Founding Partner and General Manager of Blossom exporter, who spoke about the returns from the recent cherry campaign.
This Thursday, April 4, a new report will premiere on Smartcherry TV; the chapter will address the commercial balance of the 2023-2024 cherry campaign, through interesting interviewees; one of them, Alfonso Frías, General Manager of Blossom, who commented on details of the markets, prices and returns.
"As there was a feeling of scarcity at the beginning of the season, Santina is the one that by far has the best returns; it gives us between USD 7-8 dollars per producer," commented Alfonso Frias.
We also spoke with Isabel Quiroz, Founder and Director of iQonsulting, who described the recent cherry campaign as magnificent: “ Contrary to what was predicted at the beginning, at the very beginning of the season 100 million boxes were expected and then due to weather issues it was lowered to less, that only 80 million boxes were going to be obtained, the truth is that we ended up the same," Quiroz commented.
The report “Rx to the season: Commercial balance of the 2023-2024 cherry campaign” will also feature the participation of the president of Fedefruta, Jorge Valenzuela; in addition, Claudia Soler, Director of the Cherry Committee of Frutas de Chile, and Nicolás Zamorano, Asia Manager of QCFruit, who is in China and gave us a complete analysis of the recent season.
The new episode premieres this Thursday, April 4, at 9:30 p.m. on our YouTube channel, and is sponsored by Anasac, Empack, Surlogística and Agrarian Fruti Academy.
