This Thursday, August 26 at 6:00 p.m., the fourth and final session of Smartcherry Open will be held, a series of discussions on the cherry industry that began on June 22 and has had three relevant panelists to date, and has achieved an excellent turnout.
The host of the event, Carlos Tapia, a specialist advisor in cherry production and Technical Director of Avium, has spoken with the advisor and specialist in deciduous fruit trees, Jordi Casas, the advisor and consultant specializing in fruit species, Valeria Lepe, and the General Manager and Co-founder of Laboratorios Diagnofruit, Héctor García. In this fourth session, the guest is the renowned Doctor in Agricultural Sciences and specialist in Entomology, Karina Buzzetti.
“This fourth and final session concludes the first Smartchery Open conversation cycle, an event that has been a great contribution for all of us who are part of the cherry world, not only at a national level, since participants from Spain, Argentina and other countries have connected to the different sessions. The dynamics of a relaxed conversation, with technical content and with tremendous panelists, leaders of the national industry, has allowed us to address different topics of great relevance for the sector; from labor, to viruses, bacterial cancer, varieties, vigor index, use of biostimulants, among others.”, explained Carlos Tapia, host of Smartcherry Open.
In this last event, which concludes the successful discussion cycle, the specialists will address issues such as the situation and management of Drosophila suzukii In Chile, control of Burritos (Naupactus sp.), control of soil larvae (Curculionidae sp.) and control of scale insects and spider mites.
