A month ago, in an exclusive interview with Miguel Lorenzini, Manager of Teno Pack, Smartcherry announced all the details of the first processing line that would operate in Ovalle starting this season. This plant began its trial run on the morning of Monday, October 23, processing between 400-500 kilos of Santina during the first day, the first to be harvested and processed in Ovalle.

With this first day, the plant's operations began, which are currently operating with a single processing line. However, it is expected that once more fruit is harvested, it will operate at full capacity, processing between 20-25 thousand kilos per shift.
“The idea of bringing a processing line began to take shape in an activity of the Seminar on Prime Cherries, in a field day that was held in May and that is starting today; it is practically becoming a reality that Ovalle will also have its own processing line for its fruit,” said the Production Manager of Agroindustria Valle Arriba and Co-founder of the Ovalle Primores Cherry Seminar.
