ADAMA, a leading crop protection company, celebrated its tenth anniversary in Chile with a special event at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. The occasion also marked the inauguration of the company's new offices, located in Cerro Colorado, in the Las Condes commune, Santiago.

The event was attended by the Manager of South Latin America of ADAMA, Marcelo Valentín; the General Manager of ADAMA Chile, Benjamín Robles, and his entire team. During the day, various commemorative, recreational and coaching activities were carried out for the attendees.
“It is an honor for me to be able to celebrate these 10 years in a new office, to be close to the clients, to show them the future of ADAMA, to bring new solutions to the farmer to continue growing together. In Latin America we have reorganized ourselves to be closer to business, closer to the clients and to look for synergies,” explained Marcelo Valentín.
For his part, Benjamín Robles, General Manager of ADAMA Chile, said that “it is a very exciting day. After three years of leading the team, reorganizing and rethinking the business model, today these ideas and strategy are becoming a reality.”
He also highlighted the company's commitment to delivering innovative crop protection products and sustainable biosolutions, with the aim of listening to the needs of farmers, learning from them and providing innovative and sustainable solutions.
“Now comes a complete transformation of ADAMA’s portfolio. We are going to turn to the world of biosolutions, everything that has to do with environmentally friendly solutions, to align ourselves with the concept that the world is asking for today: harmless fruits and crops, with less waste, more sustainable. That is where we are going as a company, with Chile. We are leading from Chile -with a biostimulant plant- this cultural and strategic change for ADAMA and for the world,” said Robles.
Chile, Brazil, Peru, and the countries of Europe are leading this change in supply with new portfolios of ADAMA biosolutions.
And cherries are not far behind, “we are working on developments to improve the quality of the fruit. It is a growing market, with potential for many more years. And we are going to be there, supporting the farmers,” concluded Robles.

Gonzalo Ugarte, Project Manager at Biosoluciones, stated that “today we are making different agreements with national and international companies to develop biosolutions in a broad sense.
We have an incredible plant here in Chile. We are the only ones capable of making fermented biostimulants to obtain better yields and better quality fruit.”
Today, biosolutions include foliar fertilizers, biostimulants and a new line of microbiological products. The latter is what ADAMA has been developing for the last 10 years, but with much greater force in the last two years. “Between now and 2027, our portfolio will change to more than 55% in biosolutions,” said Ugarte.
Inspired by Adama's farmers and partners and by the excellence in the formulation of its products, today, it continues to add new technologies, innovation and sustainability to a new business model that involves Chilean farmers, their needs and communication with international markets.
ADAMA, whose name means “earth” in Hebrew, has its roots in the Agan and Makteshim companies, founded in Israel in 1945 and 1952, respectively. In 1997, these entities merged to form Makteshim Agan, becoming a global powerhouse in crop protection.
During these ten years in Chile, since its merger with ChileAgro, ADAMA has consolidated its position as a leader in crop protection, offering a portfolio of comprehensive and sustainable solutions that includes crop protection, foliar nutrition and biosolutions. The company works closely with the distribution chain and provides world-class products that support thousands of Chilean farmers on a daily basis.
In addition, it has an industrial plant and a biostimulant research and development center.
