WiseConn participated in Expo Agrofuturo 2023, the most important international agricultural fair in Latin America, which took place from September 6 to 8 in Medellín, Colombia. They presented themselves jointly with Durman by aliaxis, WiseConn's official distributor in that country. During their participation, they exhibited technological solutions for precision agriculture in fertigation and irrigation, which helps farmers improve the productivity, efficiency and sustainability of their operations.
“The fair has been very good, there has been a lot of interest from Colombian farmers in improving their projects, especially with the challenge that is coming due to the reduction in rainfall. The last 4-5 years have had an abundance of water, but with the change in the El Niño climate cycle that is predicted and that is already being felt where the rains have begun to subside, Colombian agriculture is at great risk if it does not begin to prepare, and there are already some producers who, seeing this, are beginning to look for the appropriate solutions to help them face this challenge. We are prepared to support them and not let them down. There is a lot to do in Colombia, a lot of room for action, and the support of companies like Durman and WiseConn is required to become the strategic ally that Colombian farmers need to face the challenging effects of climate change,” says William Marcos, District Manager of Latam at WiseConn.
This conference has been a good experience in which we have had the opportunity to connect with experts in the Colombian industry, learn about the latest trends and share our own experience and knowledge of the Latin American markets in which WiseConn is present, each with different needs.
In addition, we had the opportunity to present our new NDVI image analysis dashboard, which attracted a lot of attention from the public.
