The main meeting of the fruit industry will have more than seventy stands and more than forty specialized talks
More than two thousand five hundred people are expected to visit Fruittrade 2023 this year, the most important fruit industry event in the country, scheduled for August 23 and 24, at the Metropolitan Santiago Convention and Event Center.
The event, organized by the Federation of Fruit Producers of Chile (FEDEFRUTA) and supported by the Ministry of Agriculture's Fund for the Promotion of Silvo-Agricultural Exports, through ProChile, will feature more than seventy stands from companies in the fruit auxiliary industry and more than forty technical talks on the market, marketing, technology and export of Chilean fruit.
For this version, the thematic axes defined were Market Diversification and Exploration; Research and Development; Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture, Financing and Economy, Consumption Trends, Climate Change and Sustainability.
It is worth noting that the opening day will feature a talk on Artificial Intelligence: “The fruit industry of tomorrow with the use of Artificial Intelligence”, by Aaron L. Wetzel, Vice President of Small Ag & Turf Production Systems, JohnDeere; along with a Keynote Lecture by the former Minister of Finance, Ignacio Briones.
Attendees will also be able to attend the presentation “Leadership for the new fruit era”, given by psychologist Diego Bravo, PhD in Neurosciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, which will be followed by a panel made up of the president of the SNA and former Minister of Agriculture, Antonio Walker; the president of ASOEX, Iván Marambio and the president of FEDEFRUTA, Jorge Valenzuela.
Also present at the plenary session will be the Minister of Agriculture, Jorge Valenzuela, and the General Director of ProChile, Ignacio Fernández.
The program features specific thematic blocks for table grapes, cherries and apples, citrus and avocados, blueberries, nuts and kiwis, as well as ESG, sustainability, advanced technologies in fruit growing and much more.
