Aquadetect will hold a seminar on “Sustainable production in a context of water scarcity” in the north

The seminar series will take place in Ovalle on November 14 and in Quillota on November 23.

The Aquadetect company, through its commercial manager, Daniel Cabrera, is pleased to announce the series of seminars entitled "Sustainable Production in a Context of Water Scarcity" that will take place in the cities of Quillota and Ovalle with the aim of addressing challenges and solutions for sustainable production in an area affected by water scarcity.

In Ovalle, the seminar will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at the Ovalle Casino&resort. We will have the participation of Daniel Cabrera, general manager of AquaDetect, who will speak about sustainability in access to groundwater in the Coquimbo region and Víctor Muñoz, Manager PER Fruticultura Sustentable Coquimbo, CORFO/ASOEX, who will speak about water productivity in fruit growing. We will also have the presence of Mónica Castillo from Netafim to tell us about the use of buried irrigation systems in table grapes and finally Felipe Leon, expert in the cultivation of table grapes and citrus, to give us his knowledge on the efficient use of resources through efficient foliar applications.

Meanwhile, in Quillota, the seminar will be held on Thursday, November 23 at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences of the PUCV. On this occasion, Daniel Cabrera, general manager of AquaDetect, will speak to us about water security and productive heterogeneity in avocado crops. We will also have the participation of Carlos Faúndez, professor and researcher at the PUCV School of Agronomy, to tell us about the current water scenario in Valparaíso and how science can help make better use of resources. Mónica Castillo, agricultural engineer at Netafim, will present solutions for frost mitigation in avocado crops and Francisco Mena, an expert in avocado and citrus cultivation, will fill us with knowledge and experiences on the soil-irrigation relationship and productivity in avocado cultivation. The main objective of this series of seminars is to share knowledge, experiences and innovative solutions to face the challenges of water scarcity in agricultural production.
