Imppa AG joins Smartcherry with an innovative project to improve the environment

Imppa AG is a trade association founded in 1993, which includes 13 companies supplying phytosanitary supplies, fertilizers and biostimulants among its members. With 29 years of experience, they represent around 45% of the market at a national level.

As a guild we have a wide range of objectives to address, such as the needs of companies in Chile, for the Chilean market and for the good performance of their businesses in the national market and this task involves the range of phytosanitary products and fertilizers, where we are directly linked with the authorities, such as the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of the Environment.", said Susana Albarracín, general manager of Imppa AG,

What does Imppa offer directly for the cherry industry?, explains the executive director, Carlos Sánchez, who stated that “The companies that are part of the trade association, which are 13. Each of them offers a phytosanitary program for the various crops, and in this case, with fungicides, insecticides, fertilizers and biostimulants. So, our companies are represented within the cherry crop, since the technicians, agronomists and those who are advisors, recommend to the producers the management programs where the products of the companies that are part of the trade association are found.”.

On the other hand, the representative members of Imppa took advantage of the opportunity to share more information about the implementation of their new “AgroRecicla” program, an important differentiating element for the brand and for caring for the environment.

One of the innovations, through AgroRecicla, has been the free removal of empty containers of phytosanitary products directly from the fields.", said Susana Albarracin.

Albarracin also added that “This program is free and is in effect between the fifth and seventh regions. It is a tremendous contribution for farmers, since through a web page, the farmer makes the request for the final issuance of a certificate for good practices and that in the case of cherries, is very relevant.”.

Regarding the importance of becoming part of Smartcherry's digital platforms, the representatives of the association highlighted the work of the cherry industry and the rapprochement they intend to obtain towards them.

“Due to the importance of cherry production in the country, the number of producers who are working and innovating with this crop, what we hope is to be able to reach a wider range of farmers, who know our programs, to make known the environmental commitment to producers, who must also be attentive to the Law of Recovery of Packaging, because at this moment, only 30% of the containers issued to the market are being recovered, so that through Smartcherry, together with our AgroRecicla project, we can recover a greater quantity of containers, providing a better service to farmers.”, concluded Carlos Sánchez.
