The various ports in the Asian giant worked at full speed in the week before the Chinese New Year and even during the holiday. Specifically in Yantian during the Spring Festival, the terminal operation remained normal and the local Customs also had officers on duty. As for logistics, most truck drivers were on vacation and only a few operated during the day, so the availability of this type of transport decreased especially between January 22 and 24. This situation was transversal to all ports in mainland China during this period of time.
As for new cherry arrivals, the Copiapó vessel finished unloading fruit in Yantian on Monday afternoon, January 16; around 500 containers were unloaded. The entire cargo (10,000 tons) was released and collected by trucks on the same day.

Additionally, Cochrane 2305E arrived in Yantian on January 23, with a smaller cargo volume, as Yantian is the second port of call after Hong Kong for this vessel.
As for Nansha Port, it is worth noting that it operated its last Cherry Express of the season on January 18. Everything went smoothly and smoothly, and inspections were completed before the New Year holiday began.
Operation at Shekou Port was normal during the New Year holiday. However, logistics outside the terminal were expected to be affected as truckers take their holidays.
At the port of Hong Kong, operator Modern Terminals Limited, operations continued as normal during the Chinese New Year. The period is traditionally a slow time for cargo, as factories in mainland China are closed and workers return to their hometowns to reunite with their families for the festive season.
