Agrospec expands its market with a complete line of “Nutra• Specialties”

These are plant-based and specialty nutrition products, developed to offer balanced, flexible and effective solutions.

21 products make up the new line that Agrospec has just launched under the name “Nutra• Specialties”, made up of biostimulants, correctors, fertilizers, amendments and defense inducers, among others.

“We formally launched the line in July. Most of its products are foliar correctors, but we also have fertilizers, biostimulants of different origins and modes of action, alternatives that promote defenses and prepare the plant for different types of stress, whether biotic or abiotic, and some specialties.”, explained María Paz Gaete, Marketing Manager of Agrospec.

In addition, the professional referred to some products from the different categories of the “Nutra• Specialties” line.

“In fertilizers, we highlight the incorporation of Calciomax 35-Flo, which contains a high concentration of calcium and is especially recommended in the early stages of fruit development. As soil improvers, we have a powdered and a liquid alternative, both for application via technical irrigation. As for specialties, we have, for example, a product called Sugarbee, which is a bee attractant, the use of which results in more efficient pollination. Aliumtec, on the other hand, is a bird deterrent, which has no effect on the organoleptic quality of the fruit, but does have an effect on birds and small animals.”, added the Marketing Manager of Agrospec.

This new line is characterized by having products made with high-quality raw materials, the right proportion of nutrients and complexing agents suitable for each element, but above all by providing only what the crops need.

“In the world of plant nutrition there are countless alternatives, with different components and concentrations. We have tried to adjust to what farmers really need for their crops, without adding compounds that make them difficult to access and that, in some cases, do not have a significant effect on their results.”, said Maria Paz Gaete.

New markets

Although Agrospec has been providing effective and profitable solutions for crop protection in Chile for several decades, it was in 2013 when it partnered with GMT, a major distributor of agricultural inputs, growing strongly in the formulation of new products.

“We are specialists in phytosanitary products, but we decided to move forward in this line of fertilizers and other specialties. We started timidly by importing products from a Spanish supplier, which supplies different companies in Chile, however, for us - who are formulators - it was very natural to see that we could improve them. In addition, we believe that we have a role in providing solutions to local problems, since here most of the market is supplied by multinationals and it is more complex for them to provide quick responses to such a small market.”, said Ana María Prado, Technical Manager of Agrospec.

It was precisely the local problems and challenges, such as ensuring that the fruit arrives in optimal conditions to destinations as far away as China, that motivated Agrospec to venture into the development of products tailored to the reality of the country.

“As I mentioned, we initially approached this challenge by importing some products, but now the goal is to be an active competitor in the area of plant nutrition and to cover the different requirements of producers. In addition to being a manufacturer and formulator of phytosanitary products, we want to be an alternative in the area of foliar fertilizers and some specialties.”, added the Technical Manager.

Effective, simple and at a reasonable price, this is how Agrospec defines this new Nutra• Specialties line, which has had an excellent reception just a few months after its launch.

"Producers are looking for lines that are competitive. We know that there is a crisis regarding the costs and profitability of crops, so having products that are not only effective but also convenient will always be welcome." said Ana María Prado, Technical Manager of Agrospec.

With the new line "Nutra•Specialties", Agrospec seeks to compete in a new market, with quality products at very affordable prices, always working hand in hand with specialists, to achieve the best results and the satisfaction of farmers.
