San Jorge Packaging, a leading manufacturer of MAP packaging for fresh fruit, played a leading role in the recent Cherry Day, held in the Patagonia region of Argentina. The event, which took place in the cities of Neuquén and Roca, brought together the main players in the cherry industry, and San Jorge Packaging stood out as the sponsor of the exclusive cocktail for members of the Integrated Chamber of Cherry Producers (CAPCI), thus strengthening its commitment to the sector.
Álvaro Campos, Account Manager of San Jorge Packaging, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, emphasizing that the company has worked closely with CAPCI and the cherry industry for several years. “Our projection in the region is just beginning, although we have been collaborating with cherry producers and exporters for some time now. We still have an important niche to explore in fruits such as pears, apples, blueberries and kiwis, where we believe we can offer great benefits to ensure freshness and quality at destination,” said Campos.

The cocktail was a key meeting point for the leaders of the sector, and San Jorge Packaging took advantage of the occasion to strengthen relationships and present its innovative packaging solutions. Campos highlighted the need to expand its presence into other fruit markets, emphasizing that the company's experience in modified atmosphere technology can be a determining factor in the success of fresh fruit exports, particularly to distant markets such as Asia.
For her part, Marcela Martínez, Technical Manager of San Jorge Packaging, shared her perspective on the company's participation in Cherry Day. “It was an extremely enriching experience, especially considering that CAPCI was celebrating its tenth anniversary, and that we have been present in its growth from the beginning. Our mission is not only to sell packaging, but also to support an industry in constant development, which is expanding its presence in international markets such as China. The high attendance at this year's seminar is a clear sign of the interest in learning and improving in the sector,” said Martínez.
San Jorge Packaging's collaboration with CAPCI not only strengthens the relationship between both entities, but also underlines the company's commitment to innovation and continued support for the fruit industry.
With a strategy focused on growth and diversification, San Jorge Packaging continues to position itself as a strategic ally for fruit producers and exporters in Argentina and Chile, expanding into new areas and markets, and supporting the development of an industry that continues to expand internationally.
