Question 4: Residuality, resolving doubts about winter control of San José scale

The residual effect of phytosanitary products is very important, as it allows for a prolonged effect and therefore greater control of the targets (pests, diseases, weeds, etc.). However, this concept is not relevant in the control of ESJ in winter, as Piriproxifen 100 EC is a very effective contact insecticide.

Furthermore, as we explained in a previous video, most of the scale population will be hibernating as black cap, a state highly susceptible to Pyriproxyfen 100 EC.

Remember to apply before August 15 for effective control.
