WiseConn leads participation in international agricultural fairs

Demand for its innovations has increased following the recent launch of its new RF-V1 technology, which promises to give more farmers and ranchers control and efficiency in their irrigation systems.

WiseConn continues to lead among Chilean irrigation agtechs with an active participation in international agricultural fairs during 2024, where it is highly sought after by exhibitors for its recent technological innovations in the treatment of agricultural irrigation, especially after the recent launch of its new RF-V1 technology, which promises to give more farmers and ranchers control and efficiency in their irrigation systems.

In the first half of March, the Chilean agtech company for smart irrigation technology took part in the Agritrade fair held in Guatemala, which is the most important agribusiness event in Central America that brings together XXX farmers, distributors and marketers.

This is the second time that the firm has participated in this meeting – which takes place every two years – after obtaining one of the ten places awarded by ProChile to Chilean companies in 2022. On that occasion, the technical and specialized management by the ProChile team of the Commercial Offices, Regional Offices and the Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce was highlighted; the preparation of an agenda of bilateral meetings during the stay in the country; and the Visit to a company in the sector organized by the Commercial Office of Guatemala.

For Tomás Vicente, regional manager for Latin America at Wiseconn, now in his second participation in this event, “Wiseconn has consolidated commercial relationships, counting on several distributors in the region and has even hired a District Manager to coordinate these relationships.” He adds that, thanks to this tour of Central America, the agtech “consolidated the operation in one of those areas, which allows it to participate once again in this event with one of its distributors.”

Thanks to its participation in the event, Wiseconn already has projects installed in four Central American countries with operating projects, and three formal distributors. “Wiseconn has consolidated its position in strategic crops in the territory such as sugar cane, palm, and banana, which are crops in which our technology has been able to adapt because it is a market that is very demanding in innovation and technology because it has historically managed its irrigation manually,” emphasizes Tomás Vicente.

In addition, last January, Wiseconn participated in the International Exhibition of Plant Production Techniques held in Paris, France, which is intended as a crossroads for innovations and concrete solutions, and is defined as the perfect place for debates and future challenges.

Role in a Fair in San Francisco, California

Additionally, last week, Wiseconn participated in the Agritech Investment Summit held in San Francisco, California that brought together 2,400 decision makers across agri-food companies, OEMs, food brands, growers, technology providers and investors for two days of high-level networking, strategic market intelligence and startup discovery.

“Wiseconn is at the forefront as Chile’s ambassador in international irrigation technology innovation, and this has been demonstrated by the interest of entrepreneurs, farmers and marketers in learning about what we do with our equipment and applications,” says Vicente Ossa, Marketing Manager of Wiseconn.

He adds that Wiseconn's participation in these events has allowed the company to "bring a very innovative and interesting proposal to the territory and that, given the firm's experience, this has become a key to success."
