The third report by Smartcherry TV, entitled “The Cherry Route”, which showed in detail the entire journey of this fruit species, from the orchard to the Chinese markets, was very well received by the audience, who made various congratulatory comments once the premiere was over.
"We received numerous messages highlighting the work carried out, which was very well captured in an in-depth report on the entire cherry journey. We would like to invite you to our next reports, where we will analyse technical and commercial topics that are very relevant to the industry," commented Javiera López, Director of Smartcherry.
The audiovisual work was released on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. and included testimonies from seasonal workers, orchard administrators, production managers, ports, transport, Chinese markets, influencers and, of course, evaluation of the quality and condition of the fruit at its destination by specialist advisors.
«It was a job that lasted several months; we started reporting in October 2023, with the start of the cherry harvest in Ovalle and then we moved to the central part of the country, where we went to the orchards, learned about the work that the harvesters do, the technique for harvesting cherries, we also talked with other workers, then we recorded the packing process, we showed the industry, for the first time, air and sea transport in such a detailed way, since we were at the loading and departure of the first Cherry Express of the season, as well as presenting exclusive images of the loading of the cherry air transport,» said Andrea Garrido, Editorial Director of Smartcherry.
Another striking aspect of the report was the influencer Poppy Lau, who is dedicated, among other things, to the sale and promotion of Chilean cherries through digital platforms.
In 24 hours, the report, sponsored by Daymsa, Decco and xpd global, accumulated nearly 800 visits and numerous reactions on social networks. The Smartcherry TV team is already preparing the next audiovisual work, which will address important technical content for orchards at this time of year, and whose central theme will be announced soon.
