During the event, the different companies that are part of Smartcherry's supplier portfolio exhibited their products and presented new innovative solutions that sparked the interest of attendees, including Viveros Copequén, FMC, Drymis and iQonsulting.

In this regard, Franco Sarnasaro, general manager of Viveros Copequén, indicated that: “Viveros Copequén has always been involved in this type of activities, and has been present at AGV practically since its beginnings. We are happy to be part of the realization of this type of activities that provide us with valuable information about the state of the market with greater clarity.”

The general manager added that, “that is why I believe that these types of events are essential, because they also allow us to unify criteria because the fruit business has different times compared to other businesses, so that time frame goes against what everyone wants now. For that reason, we have to look at issues of innovation and development to see how we can shorten the times and how we can make new things available for the industry as soon as possible.”

For her part, Pía Aranguren, executive director of Drymis, referred to her company's participation in Agrotrade, since it advises and audits in terms of sustainability, one of the main topics of this event.

"Our main focus is to fully enter the agricultural space, to inform and raise awareness about how we can change from traditional agriculture to sustainable agriculture," said Aranguren.

FMC was also part of Agrotrade, presenting and promoting one of its nematicide products.

“Our presence at this event is related to the promotion of our products, mainly nematicides. In this case, we have Rugby (Rugby 10g and Rugby 200), which is widely used in nurseries and which are broad-spectrum nematicides for controlling nematodes and also larvae and weeds,” said Ignacio Díaz, Metropolitan Region and Fifth Region Zonal Director of FMC.

Finally, Isabel Quiroz, founding partner of iQonsulting and also one of the speakers at the event, also had words to highlight the presence of her company, arguing that: “For us it is always important to be alongside this universe that is made up of fruit farmers and exporters. It is like an act of presence, or support, in addition to the fact that we also make our services known to these different actors in the industry and that is why it is important for us to be here at AgroTrade 2023.”

In summary, the participation of Smartcherry partners in Agrotrade has been a resounding success, as their presence at this important fair has once again demonstrated the ability of Smartcherry and its partners to boost the agricultural sector, offering tools and services that increase productivity, optimize the use of resources and contribute to sustainable development in food production.
