This international event will be held on May 24 at the Monticello Convention Center, with the presence of prominent exhibitors, agricultural authorities, experts in fruit genetics and sustainability.
As an event that has established itself as one of the must-sees in the agricultural sector every year, the 8th Agrotrade Chile 2023 International Convention and Fair will once again bring together the main players in the agricultural sector at the Monticello Convention Center around a diverse exhibition, interesting talks and discussion panels.
The activity will address, among others, the challenges of new fruit genetics, where leading experts in varietal improvement will discuss the existing offer and its impact on fruit growing.
“We wanted to focus this eighth version of our Agrotrade on the projections of the agricultural sector, in a context marked by climatic extremes, economic pressures and conflicts, which strongly affect the global food security scenario, where sustainability is essential to achieve an agriculture more resilient to these changes,” said the executive director of Viveros de Chile, Maritrini Lapuente.
Indeed, this meeting will bring together important leaders and representatives of the agricultural sector, who will participate in the event's discussion panels. “We will meet to exchange ideas and plan the future of agriculture, going through the latest trends in varieties and rootstocks to boost the growth of the sector,” said the president of the union, Cristian Pichuante.
In addition to these leading figures in the agricultural industry, there will be national and international stands and exhibitors such as nurserymen, suppliers of inputs, services and technologies, where new genetics for fruit growing will also be on display, among others.
“Agrotrade is a special event for fruit growers, as it is geared towards them with guests who are relevant to the sector and will undoubtedly be a good opportunity to discuss important issues such as the analysis of the fruit season and the new record for our exports,” commented Jorge Valenzuela, president of Fedefruta.
Among other topics that Agrotrade 2023 will include, is “the potential of women as agents of change in agriculture, playing a leading role in cross-cutting issues such as associativity and digital literacy, among others, which allow us to move forward and work together to return to the path of turning Chile into an agro-food power”, says Patricia Benavente, president of the recently formed first Association of Women in Agriculture in Chile – AMAGRO AG.
