AgroFresh, an innovative AgTech company with 40 years of experience in the post-harvest sector, continues to develop sustainable solutions that help reduce food loss and waste and protect the planet's resources. These innovations will be presented at two leading agricultural trade fairs in May: the Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM) in Morocco, and the Macfrut trade fair in Italy, from 3 to 5 May.
SIAM is the main trade fair for the agricultural and agro-industrial technology sector on the African continent. This year, the 15th edition will take place in Meknes from 2 to 7 May. The AgroFresh team will share its experience and knowledge in post-harvest at the Spanish Pavilion, E-1, organised by ICEX.
Macfrut is the trade fair for professionals in the fruit and vegetable sector, covering all areas of the sector, from production to consumption. This year, the 40th edition will take place, as is tradition, in Rimini. The AgroFresh stand will be located in Hall B3 Stand 199.
At both fairs, AgroFresh will present its latest innovations:
- VitaFresh TM Botanicals SoftFruit, vegetal coating for stone fruit. This
solution creates a natural "double skin" effect that helps maintain the freshness of the
fruit. This product is certified vegan by the Vegetarian Union
European Union (UVE), which is an additional advantage for products intended for
export. - FreshCloud TM, AgroFresh's cutting-edge technology services solution, is a
integrated digital platform for professionals in the fruit and vegetable sector that
improves planning, product quality and profitability. FreshCloud has
gained popularity for its adaptability to different types of crops, such as
citrus, apples or stone fruits, easy access and handling from any
device. - SmartFresh TM, the original, industry-leading 1-MCP ethylene management technology that
has revolutionized the apple industry over the past 20 years. This year,
SmartFresh will be launched in Morocco in ProTabs format for apples and plums.
This solution is available in Italy for multiple crops such as apples,
peaches, kiwis, plums and pears, among others.
AgroFresh solutions help growers, fruit and vegetable producers and retailers throughout the food supply chain to improve the quality and extend the shelf life of fresh produce. For more information on these and other post-harvest solutions, visit the AgroFresh team in the Spanish Pavilion, E-1 at SIAM; and in Pavilion B3 Stand 199 at Macfrut.
