According to information from the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX), so far in the development of the current 2022-2023 export season, Chile has sent 535,627 tons of fresh fruit to Asia, a figure that reflects an increase of 11,06%.
China leads the volumes by far with a share of 91%, followed by South Korea and Taiwan with 3%, respectively. In fourth place is Japan with 4%.
In terms of fruit types, cherries lead exports with 711 TP3T of the total fruit that Chile has sent to Asia. In second place are plums with 131 TP3T, nectarines with 71 TP3T, table grapes with 41 TP3T, and blueberries with 21 TP3T.
