Arrivals of Chilean cherries to China and reference prices

Between air arrivals, charters and liners, more than 121 million kilos of cherries have been loaded, of which just over 105 million are by ship, that is, the 87%, which is the equivalent of nearly 5,750 containers.

A week ago, the first maritime shipment of cherries arrived in China and little by little we are beginning to approach what will be the peak of the commercial season in the main market for Chilean cherries. In this context, our team of correspondents gathered important data regarding the tons of this fruit that have arrived through different shipping methods to the Asian country.

The peak of maritime arrivals will occur in the coming weeks with the arrival of 20 ships, the last cargo to date being the Cosco Asia ship, at the beginning of week 50.

This fruit will arrive by sea to various ports in China, including:

  • Hong Kong
  • Shenzhen
  • Shanshan
  • Shanghai
  • Yantian
  • Nansha
  • Shekou
  • Dalian
  • Shantou

As for the reference sales prices in Guangzhou wholesale market, the data are as follows:
