On October 27th, starting at 5:45 p.m., the fourth and final session of the second version of Smartcherry Open will take place. The event, led by the specialist advisor on cherry production, Carlos Tapia, will be aimed at analyzing the post-harvest of cherries together with two specialists; they are the co-founders of Trío Kimün, Francisca Barros and Jessica Rodríguez.
«There is a very interesting conversation coming up about what the challenges are for the cherry post-harvest industry. I dare to say, with great pride, that we have the best post-harvest industry in the world and not only for cherries, but also for other fruit species, so it is a very important season to analyze what the future and current challenges are for the post-harvest industry, leveraged by what we do in the field of building fruit for export.», said Carlos Tapia.
Hydrocoolers or humidifiers in the field?, fruit dispatch management, “problems” or details of the Regina variety and post-harvest in new varieties, will be some of the topics discussed in this fourth and final session of the discussion series.
The event will be broadcast via Zoom and will start at 5:45 p.m. with a backstage hosted by our journalist Andrea Garrido; then, at 6:00 p.m., Carlos Tapia will kick off the conversation cycle.
