The Board of Directors of the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX) informs that Ronald Bown Fernández has decided to begin his retirement process, which implies leaving his position as President of the Board of Directors of our institution in a short period of time.
The Board of Directors of ASOEX would like to express its deepest gratitude to Ronald for the many achievements that have been obtained under his administration for the benefit of the fruit export industry, especially highlighting his commitment to achieving an adequate combination of the sector's own interests with those of the country, having created a team of collaborators and related organizations whose main hallmark has been and will be the achievement of the common good in all its varied activities.
As a result of the above, our Board of Directors has begun a search process for a new President. After a long and impartial process, Iván Marambio Castaño, current member of the Board of Directors, a lawyer by profession and who has more than 20 years of experience in the fruit industry, has been appointed. We are certain that he will be a great contribution to our entity. Iván Marambio will assume his new position during the month of September.
We would like to reiterate our thanks to Ronald Bown Fernández, who will remain linked to our institution as an advisor, in order to collaborate in a successful transition of the new presidency. In turn, we wish the best of success to Iván Marambio Castaño.
