The objective is to generate a tool for the early diagnosis of the disease, which allows to know the degree of inoculum load with the phytopathogen Verticillium albo-atrum in irrigation water, soil and plants of kiwi production systems, using molecular techniques through qPCR-HRM.

Project that aims to develop a prototype service for detecting the level of resistance to fungicides, aimed at serving the national fruit sector. Although the incidence of fungal diseases is transversal with respect to fruit and crop production in Chile, this initiative focuses on addressing the problem in five species: table grape, cherry, blueberry, lemon and orange trees.

The study lays the technical foundations for the development of a technique for quantifying B. cinerea and G. candidum in peaches and cherries and packing lines through qPCR; the idea is to integrate early field monitoring results that allow us to predict the behavior of the fruit in refrigerated storage.
