A major digital integration was announced by Chilean agtech WiseConn together with Cropx Technologies, a leading US agricultural management provider, to further improve data collection and analysis for farmers around the world. CropX users will be able to incorporate information from the WiseConn system into their precision irrigation network. This agreement will cover all WiseConn irrigation systems used in North and South America, Europe and Australia.
This alliance is another step forward complementing WiseConn's commitment to comprehensive irrigation management, making more tools and collaboration available.
CropX’s agronomic farm management system incorporates agricultural data from sensors, satellites, rain gauges and farm machinery into an advanced analytics platform to optimize decision making and crop management. With the integration of WiseConn’s smart irrigation system, CropX and WiseConn users will now have easy access to captured data including irrigation, fertilization and sensor monitoring records.
Users of both solutions will gain access to more advanced information to evaluate agronomic decisions and execute dynamic irrigation scheduling. This will allow farmers to move away from fixed schedules and instead customize irrigation based on real-time conditions, optimizing water use for each crop and field.
This integration will have significant benefits for growers through easier management of water use, increased crop yields, and better resource management. Using WiseConn and CropX precision irrigation practices can significantly reduce water waste without compromising crop health. Optimal water management can lead to better plant growth and higher yields, while saving the grower time and labor.
According to Vicente Ossa, Marketing Manager at Wiseconn, “This collaboration with CropX strengthens our commitment to providing farmers with the tools they need to make informed decisions and optimize their irrigation practices.”
He adds that “by combining our expertise in precise irrigation management with CropX technology, we believe this integration has the potential to improve irrigation management and contribute to a more sustainable future for agriculture.”
For Matan Rahav, Vice President of Corporate Development at CropX, “We are excited to partner with WiseConn to deliver even greater value to our mutual users. By integrating our cutting-edge technologies, we are empowering farmers to make more informed decisions, reduce water usage, and increase overall crop yield.”
Both companies are committed to supporting farmers around the world by providing them with the tools and technologies they need to thrive in an increasingly complex agricultural landscape. This integration represents a significant step forward in the digitalization of farming practices and the promotion of sustainable agriculture.
