Global agriculture in the 21st century involves several challenges: producing more and better food to feed a growing population, reducing labor and adopting more efficient and sustainable production methods.
The world's population is estimated to reach 9.1 billion people in 2050, according to FAO data. To ensure food security, food production would need to increase by 70% between 2005/07 and 2050. Annual cereal production, for example, would need to increase by almost one billion tonnes.

The event will take place at 5:00 p.m., in person at the Sun Monticello Conference Center in San Francisco de Mostazal; it is expected to bring together more than 200 agricultural stakeholders, including producers, influencers, exporters, advisors and other personalities from the agricultural sector.
“For us, as important players in agriculture, it is very important to be able to share with farmers, regulatory entities, associations and strategic partners the new initiatives we are working on and which encompass innovation, sustainability, digital agriculture and growth,” added the Marketing Manager of Syngenta Chile.
Syngenta, a leading company in crop production, offers fungicides, insecticides and herbicides to the industry, both from its biological line and from its biostimulant line. The latter line was launched 13 years ago with the product Vitazyme, a plant “biostimulant”, and today the company is promoting this range of products, thus supporting the purpose of providing comprehensive solutions to crops in a sustainable manner.
