ProChile, an organization dependent on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that promotes the supply of Chilean goods and services in the world, is present at Macfrut through its commercial office in Italy. In turn, through the participation of several Chilean companies that applied and were selected to travel to Rimini and present their products at the ProChile stand.
«We made a call for companies to participate in an activity called the SME Forum; we had a good reception of the call and then from the fair (Macfrut) we received an offer to form a collective stand of companies from Chile and that is how this stand was set up, so there is a group of companies that is participating in the SME Forum representing Chile», said Felipe Repetto, Commercial Representative of ProChile in Italy.

During the first day of Macfrut, ProChile and Chilean companies officially launched the event with a wine reception, in which invited brands and some Chilean attendees participated.
«At this moment there are six companies that are participating in Macfrut, and we wanted to make a different bet; we recognize the enormous and great work that suppliers of goods and services have done to generate a powerful agricultural sector, which is the sector that generates a very important export for Chile, so we wanted to bring these companies that supply goods and services; Who are these companies? To give some examples, producers of organic fertilizers, producers of software that are used to control the quality of exports, producers of biostimulants, a topic that is currently being talked about a lot in Europe with a regulation that has just come out in July 2022, therefore the idea is to bring services, bring goods and inputs that are currently prepared to be exported and that are the basis of the export of the agricultural sector in Chile, which is world-class.», added Felipe Repetto.

One of the invited companies “Piedras Juntas”: «We are participating thanks to the support of ProChile in this year's 2023 fair and we are mainly showing the innovations that are developed in Chile in order to save water and to be able to collaborate with agriculture mainly; what we market are the developments of the Quimeco company; it is a product based on organic polymers that allows saving up to 87% of water in crop irrigation, in addition to helping to invigorate and give better conditions to crops and thus also generate greater productivity, explained Oscar Ubillo, Director of New Business at Piedras Juntas.

Another of the Chilean companies present is Bio Apply; it has a wide range of products, but on this occasion they are promoting Capa, a product that initially started as a water retainer, but after research was defined as a facilitator of water transport within the plant: "We were invited to participate in the process, we qualified and agreed to participate in the fair. They found that we had a product that was interesting for what this stand was going to be. They wanted technology applied to agriculture, they wanted to show something different, so we signed up, went through the whole process and came to the fair." concluded Daniel Courbis, Development Manager at BioAplly.
