Within the framework of the National Agricultural Meeting (ENAGRO), organized by the National Society of Agriculture (SNA), the President of the Republic valued the contribution of CFIAgrotech and called on the various actors in the industry to visit the International Congress and Fair of Innovation and Technologies in Agrifood, which is taking place this week in Metropolitan Santiago.
The President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, described the International Fair of Innovation and Technologies in Agrifood, CFIAgrotech 2023, which he visited and toured this Wednesday, as a “magnificent and stimulating” event. “The spirit of innovation, the spirit of Chilean identity, the rural pride of young people connecting with the world of agriculture is impressive,” he said.
The Head of State arrived at the Metropolitan Santiago Convention Center, together with the Minister of Agriculture, Esteban Valenzuela, and the president of the National Society of Agriculture (SNA), Antonio Walker, to participate in the National Agricultural Meeting (ENAGRO 2023). Within the framework of this activity, the president began the day by visiting the CFIAgrotech facilities and toured the various stands of the show in the company of Paula Miranda, fair manager; Francisco Sotomayor, executive director of GL events; Rodrigo Lobo, Deputy General Manager of FISA and Antonio Walker himself.
During his trip, President Boric spoke with exhibitors and learned about the different innovations, technologies, inputs and services for agricultural, livestock and food processing industry sustainability that are on display from October 24 to 26. Likewise, the highest authority shared with several representatives of agtech and foodtech startups who, together with
present their revolutionary and attractive technological solutions, they also expressed their
interest in “returning to the countryside” and strengthening agriculture as a hub for productive development.
During the tour of CFIAgrotech, the delegation visited the stands of companies such as AquaPlants,
Botanitec, Ciencia Pura, Rad Riego and Btres, in addition to international technological solutions
offered by the companies CAS and Summit Agro. In the middle of his journey, President Boric made
a stop at the AgroTech Chile union space, where he was received by specialists.
“This fair has a lot of space to work together,” said the highest authority, who celebrated
the spirit of the exhibition and expressed his desire to continue promoting this type of initiatives.
“Count on us,” he said.
Congress and fair continue until Thursday
CFIAgrotech, organized by FISA, GL events and the National Society of Agriculture, integrates in a
an international conference and a fair in the same space, thus facilitating the connection, the
exchange of experiences and conversations between speakers, exhibitors, visitors and leaders
nationals of the agri-food sector.
This activity seeks to strengthen Chile as an agro-food power; introduce to the market
new technologies; exchange experiences and knowledge to respond to demand
world of healthy and sustainable foods, in addition to generating an exclusive space for
visibility for agtech and foodtech startups.
During the afternoon of this Wednesday – once ENAGRO 2023 was concluded – the event continued with the
CfiAgrotech international conference with panels on: “Networks and value chain in
Agri-food: experiences and lessons” and “IoT innovations and traceability”. The activity
concludes this Thursday, October 26, an opportunity in which the topics "Robotics and
“Automation in agri-food”; “Food Safety – New Market Trends”;
“Digitization and Digital Transformation in Industry 5.0”; and “The Future of Manufacturing
Food".
