This coming Wednesday, July 6th, starting at 9:30 a.m., the Federation of Fruit Producers of Chile, Fedefruta, together with ProChile, invite producers from the Maule region to its first Regional Meeting of Producers in Curicó, a free, in-person activity for the sector that will address the most relevant issues for fruit growing in the area. It will take place at the Club de la Unión de Curicó, at the intersection of Av. España, lateral road s/n, Curicó.
The meeting begins with an “Analysis of the cherry market in China: How is the fruit really moving?”, by Ms. Lan Xu- China., Import Manager of Chengdu Jiatian Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. Then, Nicolás Suazo C., a Lawyer specializing in Water Law at Montt Group, will address the topic of “Water usability under the new legal framework”, a necessary review to be alert to the new scope brought by the changes in regulations around water.
The panel “Regional fruit panorama: facing the upcoming changes” is expected around noon, a space for conversation between Jorge Valenzuela T., President of Fedefruta, Carolina Dosal L., President of Fruséptima and Julieta Romero V., Regional Director of ProChile for Maule. Antonio Walker P., Fruit Entrepreneur of Agropecuaria Walker Prieto, will speak later on the apple business, its costs and market.
Closing the meeting, the experts from Banca Ética, Gerardo Wijnant, Deputy Manager of Impact and Ecosystems at Banca Ética – South Pacific, Industrial Civil Engineer from the University of Chile, and Daniela López C., Deputy Commercial Manager of the Environment area at Banca Ética – South Pacific, Agricultural Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, will speak with producers about the types of financing to advance towards Sustainable Agriculture.
Regional Meeting will have free financial advice for attendees
Participants in the meeting will be able to present their problems and receive concrete guidance on possible specific solutions in the areas of financing, competitiveness and agribusiness management, in a new space within the Regional Meetings: the Agrocapital financial consultancy. It is a private meeting between the producer and Agrocapital, a financial, economic and management consulting firm that provides solutions specially designed for each agribusiness.
