The activity, organized by ProChile together with the main unions and associations of the sector, brought together 40 importers from a dozen markets with more than a hundred (130) national companies, both in Santiago and Concepción.
The activities of Industry Week 2024 ended with a positive balance, an activity organized by ProChile together with the main associations and unions of the private sector, to strengthen the positioning of our country, especially in Latin American markets for companies in sectors such as Health, Forestry, Packaging and containers, Non-combat defense, metalworking and electro-electronics.
According to information provided by importers themselves through an online survey at the end of each meeting, business is projected to amount to US$1,000,000,000. This figure includes business meetings held in both Santiago (US$1,000,000,000) and Concepción (US$1,000,000,000).

In total, 588 business meetings were held between importers from markets such as Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico with 130 companies from the Metropolitan Region, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, O'Higgins, Maule, Bio Bio and Los Lagos. The details indicate that 463 meetings were held in Santiago and 125 in Concepción.
In this regard, the general director of ProChile commented that “along with thanking the importers from the ten markets that participated in the Industry Week activities and the Chilean associations and companies in the sector that were with us, we are very satisfied with the results of the business meetings in Santiago and Concepción. We will continue to support with our efforts, encouraging these projections to become concrete business deals and for Chilean companies to forge solid, long-term relationships with importers.”
In addition to business meetings, Industry Week 2024 included other activities such as talks, networking and on-site visits. This agenda included companies such as Laboratorios Prater and VAS Partners (Health); Horse Chile (Metalworking); Enaer (Non-combat defense); Guivar Transforma, Maderas Concón, Forestal León, Laboratorio del Instituto Forestal INFOR (Forestry) and Coexpan and Garibaldi (Packaging).
