More than a hundred attendees participated in the Cherry Day 2022 members' event, an event organized by the Argentine Chamber of Integrated Cherry Producers.
The event, which brought together CAPCI members, took place at the Kleppe packing plant, located near General Roca, Río Negro, Argentina.
«The truth is that Cherry Day has gone very well, so far we are on the first day, there will be two days; a very good turnout, people from all cherry producing provinces, all the partners and a great presence of sponsors who are suppliers and all those who help us in this industry to move forward and continue growing, the truth is that this makes me very happy», said Alejandro Zimmermann, President of CAPCI.

The day included a series of presentations that included topics such as frost control, irrigation, viruses, among others. Bruno Tapia, Coordinator of the Avium Advisory Area, was invited to speak about the situation in Chile regarding the control of PNRSV.
CAPCI was grateful for the good turnout and, of course, for those who hosted the event.
"I want to thank Pablo Kleppe who welcomed us into his home, a spectacular, extraordinary place, and we have organized ourselves very well to welcome all the Cherry Day attendees after two years of doing it virtually due to the pandemic and that fills us with satisfaction," Zimmermann said.
Kleppe was also grateful to have hosted the first session of Cherry Day 2022.
«It is a pleasure for us to be able to welcome you to our facilities. We love being able to meet face to face after so long and, above all, to be able to exchange experiences, opinions, ideas regarding this beautiful crop that represents us on so many occasions and so many challenges at the same time. We feel that this is a pivotal moment for Argentine production and there is no better way to face it than together.»said Pablo Kleppe, General Manager Kleppe SA

The second and final day of Cherry Day will take place this Friday, September 2, in the town of Chimpay, where a field day will be held that includes visits to three ranches, where attendees will be able to see on the ground, among other things, the impressive panorama offered in the area by the spray frost control system and, of course, learn more about it.
