Ceres Imaging: New partner joins our platform

A new supplier has arrived at Smartcherry to offer its technological services and support to farmers. This is Ceres Imaging, a company specializing in agricultural imaging technology, which offers constant advice on irrigation and crop health problems, obtaining a complete x-ray of the field and the current situation.

“We use aircraft and cameras with specialized sensors to capture detailed images of agricultural fields; these images are processed at the plant-by-plant level and analyzed to provide alerts and valuable information to farmers about the health of their crops, water stress, soil moisture distribution, and other aspects related to crop management,” explained Vicente Traviesa, Account Manager of Ceres.

Through the services offered, farmers can make informed decisions with accurate and timely data about their crops. This can include recommendations for more efficient irrigation, early detection of plant health problems, optimization of fertilizer application, and other aspects of farm management.

“We focus on early detection of irrigation and plant health problems, recommendations for more efficient irrigation, and we even focus on optimizing fertilizer application. As a final point, we also provide an analysis of existing and missing plant counts,” indicated Ceres Account Manager, Vicente Traviesa.

Ceres also referred to the importance of being part of Smartcherry, a platform specializing in cherry production.
“Ceres Imaging is a company with more than 10 years of experience in technological solutions for farmers in North America. Now, in partnership with Smartcherry, we are looking to expand into Chile. We believe that this collaboration will allow us to showcase our technology and expertise to Chilean farmers, while Smartcherry shares our values of innovation and excellence. Together, we hope to provide farmers with access to our tools and knowledge, contributing to the success of cherry growers in Chile and promoting innovation in the sector. We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to positive results from our collaboration.” Vicente Traviesa closed.
