The Youtube account «Life in a graph» surprised the cherry industry with the recent publication of an animation showing the countries that export the most cherries worldwide. The graph starts in 1962, where Chile appears with a total of 102 tons exported, in 14th place, and far behind Italy, which held the first place and which at that time already produced more than 25 thousand tons.
Today, Chile is in first place with more than 335,516 tons exported during the 2021-22 campaign, a figure that increased again during the recent campaign and whose official records will be published shortly by Asoex.
