Syngenta presents Premio: The perfect ally for the quality of exportable fruit

Agriculture is one of the main sources of income in many countries, and fruit export is a key sector in this industry. To ensure the quality and quantity of fruit destined for export, Syngenta offers Premio, a plant-based anti-cracking product that has revolutionised the way farmers care for their crops.

This solution is a foliar-applied nutritional corrector that has proven to be highly effective in reducing fruit cracking. It has also been specially formulated for field applications and has proven to be highly effective without causing stains on the fruit. Furthermore, Premio has been proven to be compatible with product formulations used in the post-harvest process, making it a versatile option for farmers.

One of the most significant advantages of Premio is its respect for ecological balance, as it does not affect beneficial insects, making it perfectly compatible with integrated pest management. This means that farmers can protect their crops without damaging the natural environment that supports the health of their land.

As for its application mode, the recommended dose of Premio is 200 ml per hectolitre, using between 700 and 1,000 litres of water per hectare. The ideal time of application begins from the fruit set, and it is recommended to carry out between 2 and 4 applications every 7-15 days until the colour changes in the pre-harvest, according to Syngenta.

Prize has scientific support

This product was formulated in Italy, where extensive scientific studies were carried out that validated its results. In our country, various experiences of use have been carried out between 2018 and 2022, which have shown a significant decrease in the incidence of cracking in cherry trees, particularly in conditions of high rainfall during crop development.

In short, Premio is a Syngenta solution focused on protecting cherry trees and increasing exportable fruit. Its ability to reduce fruit cracking, its compatibility with integrated pest management and its solid scientific backing make it an essential choice for farmers who want to ensure the quality of their crops and success in international markets.
