Based on the experience of the last eight years in fertility analysis of bud quality, criteria have been established to understand the ranges of flowering potential in cherry orchards in production. Below are the criteria flowering potential ranges as a measure of fertility to take important actions in terms of how to deal with pruning, load regulation and nutritional support strategies if necessary. Although these ranges are representative for the species, it is also necessary to understand the differences that exist for the different rootstock varieties and combinations between them.
