Fedefruta invited 300 fruit producers from the central region to its Regional Meetings in Rancagua and Curicó, held at the end of September with the support of ProChile and organized jointly with Frusexta, the Association of Farmers of Colchagua and Fruséptima, and the participation of the Agency for Sustainability and Climate Change, the Government and Regional Council of the O'Higgins Region, to publicize the APL Cerezos.
During the activities of both days, leaders, authorities and technical, commercial and industry experts projected the new fruit season from the markets, demand, technical, sustainability and also financial requirements to face the campaign that is approaching in these days.
Jorge Valenzuela, president of Fedefruta, along with making his presentation, led panels on fruit growing with local and national union leaders: Carolina Dosal (President of Fruséptima and vice president of Fedefruta), Antonio Walker (president of SNA), Darío Polloni (President of the Colchagua Farmers Association and Fedefruta Councilor) and José Miguel Figueroa (Director of the Rosario Studies Center and Fedefruta Councilor).
The Federation would like to thank all the attendees, speakers, entities and sponsors who were present. The Fedefruta Regional Meetings will continue in November, in locations and dates that the association will announce shortly.
