Within the framework of the Third Seminar on Early Cherry Production in Mendoza, organized by the Mendoza Cherry Chamber, together with the Argentine Chamber of Integrated Cherry Producers (CAPCI) and the Rural Development Institute, prominent partners of Smartcherry, the technical and specialized platform for the dissemination of cherries, were present to share their innovations, products and knowledge at this important event.
The partners who have been present at this seminar are: Cultiva, UPL, WiseConn, AgroFresh, FrostBoss, Agralia, Delsantek and Unitec. Each of them has contributed with their solutions and experiences to strengthen the cherry industry in the region.
Samuel Rodríguez, regional manager for Chile, Argentina and Europe at Cultiva, commented that, “Well, they invited us to participate. We have been present as Cultiva for approximately 6 years in the Argentine market, with our Parka product, with a very good response. This seminar is to update producers on everything we have done with research in different parts of the world. We are very happy to be here.”

For his part, Juan Pablo Calvo, representative of FrostBoss Chile, highlighted that: “The truth is that we are working here in Mendoza in different areas, and obviously, where there is a cherry boom, we also wanted to get involved. We have machines installed in San Juan, with a local distributor here in Mendoza. We have had a lot of interest in the frost control machines, it seems that there is an interest in learning more.”

The presence of these partners at the seminar refers to the importance of collaboration and the exchange of knowledge to boost the cherry industry, both in the neighbouring country and in the region.
On the other hand, Smartcherry will continue to work hand in hand with its partners to continue innovating and improving cherry production practices, in terms of the dissemination of this type of events and technical information.
